Part of this website is dedicated to promoting, and hopefully selling a couple of copies, of Beat Heat Eat. But that's not the reason this site exists.
Beat Heat Eat comes in 2 parts - the book (Beat Heat Eat) and the website (www.BeatHeatEat.com) - with each part supporting and promoting the the other.
The book is the front line for the whole deal. That's most likely how you came to know about www.BeatHeatEat.com in the first place and be reading this page now. You can use the book as it is but to get the full Beat Heat Eat experience a visit to the website and some interaction is recommended.
The main purpose of www.BeatHeatEat.com is to collect content from its visitors, and to share it with other Spoonbenders. (A Spoonbender is the name given to those who either submit their own content through www.BeatHeatEat.com for sharing, or those who have simply answered the call and joined the mailing list).
www.BeatHeatEat.com's big hope is to create a community of contributing Spoonbenders which can provide enough content to fill, at least, a second edition of Beat Heat Eat.
But, hey! It's not all one way traffic here. It's intended that the sender of any contribution that's used in a subsequent published book edition of Beat Heat Eat be given a free copy. Not only that - submissions that improve the content of the book get posted on the site (click on 'view other mods and notes' above) with the contributor fully credited if they so wish.
Also, mailing list subscribers will be emailed new content on an irregular basis.
