I'm a graphic designer who works from home in Adelaide, South Australia, with my wife Katharine and son Matthew.
Although this book makes it appear I have plenty of time on my hands, I really don’t. I have designed heaps of book covers, well over a hundred by now, and numerous books for others which have been recognised by some, but not enough, of the right people.
So I figured I might as well make my day job a night one as well and have a crack at a book myself. They say you should write about something you know – and I know eating. It’s the cooking part I have trouble with. That’s why the recipes in Beat Heat Eat are so easy. If I can make them, anyone can.
This is the second book I have conceived, contructed and convinced Wakefield Press to publish, but the first I have written – with plenty of help, of course.
